  So I have been a diabetic for almost 13 years now and as I have come to know; a good Endocrinologist is a diamond in the rough. I have heard through the grape vine of friends that he is a diamond. I have been through many emotional scars from a few and was not satisfied with the one I had. I had to wait until January of 2017 but I knew it would be worth it. I felt so much compassion and inspiration from my first appointment. It wasn't just about my numbers. It wasn't just about my readings. It was about how I was doing as a whole. Only 2 other Endo's I had before has done that for me. It was a breath of fresh air. I finally got the quality care that I have been searching for and I hope to stay for many years to come. It isn't always an easy road but it helps when someone cares about you as much as he does.

  I called the new patient phone number 5 times today. I left my contact information but was never called back. I went to the doctors office before they closed to speak with someone about getting an appointment. I was told the first appointment would be sometime in 2017!!! It is Aug 15th. This is unacceptable to wait 5+ months or more for a Dr. appointment. I have recorded the exchange in the office and will upload to YouTube. I don't know if Obama Care has created this situation, or just exasperated it. I would likely get much better care than this in Cuba.
